Steel is considered to be the backbone of human civilization. By virtue of its abundance, low cost and wide application capability, steel is termed as the people's metal. Consumption of steel is crucial for the development of an economy.

Beekay Group took up this challenge 30 years ago and has blossomed into one of the most reputable groups of engineering industries in India, making steel and a wide range of rolled products, bright bars, laminated spring and coil springs with its manufacturing activities spread over Kolkata, Jamshedpur, Chennai and Vishakapatnam. The Group has achieved an annual turnover of Rs. 1100 crores
(fy-2021-2022) which is on a steady rise.

The unit of AKC Steel was taken over in 1998 by the Beekay Group and within a short period it has established itself as a major force in the Indian Steel Industry. Adoption of energy-efficient technology, optimum utilization of resources and continuous upgradation of production facilities and man-power skills has resulted in an ever-growing customer-base and distinct presence in the domestic markets. AKC Steel has also embarked on an export thrust and is regularly receiving export orders from the Middle East, New Zealand, U.K., Bangladesh and other neighbouring countries.
